Kang Bin Jun was a little too slow when Khwanchai Bunying got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 10th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 24th minute, Samuel Etoo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ban Faek fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Pakin Kityapoke's late challenge caught a Red Star FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pakin Kityapoke helped the player get up and apologised. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ratikorn Khamopas in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sommit Sinarurad saved Ban Faek from getting behind. After 34th play minutes Ratikorn Khamopas shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Sommit Sinarurad and just under the crossbar into goal. Sommit Sinarurad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ratikorn Khamopas, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After a rather tough play, Ban Faek's Phuttaphan Meesang got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Sommit Sinarurad took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mehmet Hakkı Yalaza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Samuel Etoo made the kick off in the second half. Thamthada Lukyim hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Khwanchai Bunying sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thanut Tangkitladawal in the 59th minute of play forced Red Star FC's goalkeeper Kang Bin Jun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ban Faek booed when Red Star FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wat Plangrotewatana didn't get a good kick on the ball.
