Paiboon Phatthanasing showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domenec Cediel in the 15th minute of the match. Paiboon Phatthanasing came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri's Domenec Cediel. But to his dismay, Domenec Cediel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. 18 minutes into the game, Lerdsak Serimatakul cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Paiboon Phatthanasing was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chiang Mai Football Club's Paiboon Phatthanasing played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domenec Cediel in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sirikiat Waiyarup in the 24th minute of play forced Chiang Mai Football Club's goalkeeper Paiboon Phatthanasing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wisan Hangmui was the one to do the kick off. Chiang Mai Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Knattspyrnufélag Akureyri the free kick.
