When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Luciano de Amaral put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Nopparat Ninjun. Taiwan Engineers Company's Raul Lucero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boonchoo Detchthamarith in the 25th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Boonwong Chitprapai during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Taiwan Engineers Company was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boonwong Chitprapai to maneuver through the defense.
