Gideon Faturrahman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gideon Faturrahman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chanboon Saedan in the 15th minute of play. Napapon Nasoongnearn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute of the match Bilbao Baggins got a corner. Olympique de Marseille's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pit Sanghirun ran over to the corner to take the kick. Pit Sanghirun made a great header on Bilbao Baggins's corner, it was just that Olympique de Marseille's Carlo Petrini managed to reach the ball for a save. When Bilbao Baggins's Pit Sanghirun in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Olympique de Marseille's goalie prevented a goal. The referee ignored Olympique de Marseille's protests and gave Chanboon Saedan a yellow card for diving instead. After 33 played minutes Olympique de Marseille got a freekick which was hit by Chanboon Saedan. The audience was convinced that Chanboon Saedan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gideon Faturrahman was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Pongsakorn Pimphapun sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gideon Faturrahman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sadayut Thanateerasud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olympique de Marseille's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Durongrit Khamwong in the 43rd minute. Durongrit Khamwong made a great header on Olympique de Marseille's corner, it was just that Bilbao Baggins's Gideon Faturrahman managed to reach the ball for a save. Chanboon Saedan struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Gideon Faturrahman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olympique de Marseille. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Chanboon Saedan made a kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Bilbao Baggins was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phuttaphan Maneerat to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Pongsakorn Pimphapun got free with Gideon Faturrahman in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A nice corner shot did that Durongrit Khamwong got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gideon Faturrahman quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gideon Faturrahman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thanasit Morpeak in the 60th minute of play. Carlo Petrini stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Napapon Nasoongnearn's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. After 61st play minutes Napapon Nasoongnearn shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Carlo Petrini and just under the crossbar into goal. Carlo Petrini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pit Sanghirun, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 66th minute Pit Sanghirun shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Petrini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 67 minutes had been played when some careless play by Olympique de Marseille's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Pit Sanghirun was slow to take the kick. During this time Bilbao Baggins's players had a chance to rest. If Pongsakorn Pimphapun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bilbao Baggins's Pit Sanghirun in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With a left leg Carlo Petrini saved Olympique de Marseille from getting behind. Pongsakorn Pimphapun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gideon Faturrahman having to interfere. Gideon Faturrahman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chanboon Saedan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gideon Faturrahman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chanboon Saedan, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After having played for 80 minutes, Pit Sanghirun managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bilbao Baggins's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pit Sanghirun was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Olympique de Marseille's goal looked a bit too open when Wieslaw Domeracki came free, but Carlo Petrini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute Napapon Nasoongnearn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlo Petrini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute Chanboon Saedan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gideon Faturrahman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
