The audience thought a goal was coming when Ittipon Charoenkul got free with Paiboon Phatthanasing in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ittipon Charoenkul recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th match minute, Chiang Mai Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eknarin Monvises to maneuver through the defense. Wittayu Wongsrikaew charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wittayu Wongsrikaew the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Wittayu Wongsrikaew kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Tharadorn Laopongharn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pinthusorn Kheangraeng in the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute Wisan Hangmui shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tharadorn Laopongharn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Wuttinan Silachai ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paiboon Phatthanasing was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After some careless play in the Ban Chonabot defense, Wisan Hangmui kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tharadorn Laopongharn. The Ban Chonabot fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tharadorn Laopongharn should have stopped the shot. Wittayu Wongsrikaew hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Tharadorn Laopongharn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wisan Hangmui, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, Khanakorn Charoenmas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 43 minutes into the match, Ban Chonabot's goal looked a bit too open when Wisan Hangmui came free, but Tharadorn Laopongharn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

52 minutes into the match, Kasidit Pantasen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tharadorn Laopongharn. Ban Chonabot's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kasidit Pantasen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Paiboon Phatthanasing took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pisut Iamamornlert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tanee Kawinkham during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 59th match minute, Ban Chonabot was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tanee Kawinkham to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Wisan Hangmui dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Tharadorn Laopongharn, 1-4. Tharadorn Laopongharn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wisan Hangmui in the 65th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, Pinthusorn Kheangraeng recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Tharadorn Laopongharn. Pinthusorn Kheangraeng showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. Tharadorn Laopongharn made a fantastic save in the 71st minute, when Kasidit Pantasen sent off a good shot on target. In the 73rd minute Wittayu Wongsrikaew shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paiboon Phatthanasing saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 77 played minutes Chiang Mai Football Club got a freekick which was hit by Eknarin Monvises. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ittipon Charoenkul in the 78th minute of play forced Chiang Mai Football Club's goalkeeper Paiboon Phatthanasing to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Ban Chonabot's goal looked a bit too open when Wisan Hangmui came free, but Tharadorn Laopongharn reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Ban Chonabot booed when Chiang Mai Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eknarin Monvises didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chiang Mai Football Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ban Chonabot the free kick. Tawat Chaiprakhon kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The Chiang Mai Football Club players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
