In the 4th minute, Yusron Handoyo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 5th minute of the match Sam Subiyakto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Muchtar Burhanuddin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hesky Sahetappy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Muchtar Burhanuddin came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Pandjalili's Hesky Sahetappy. But to his dismay, Hesky Sahetappy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Karampuang's Muchtar Burhanuddin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hesky Sahetappy in the 18th minute of play. Hesky Sahetappy received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Muchtar Burhanuddin came out and tried to block the shot, but Hesky Sahetappy slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 19th minute. Rama Bangun hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Hesky Sahetappy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hesky Sahetappy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Muchtar Burhanuddin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pandjalili's attentive Rama Bangun managed to snatch the ball when Fuad Manurung made a throw-in in the 36th minute of the game. Koko Leonard received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Yance Sulistyono tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hesky Sahetappy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Muchtar Burhanuddin made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Hesky Sahetappy sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Koko Leonard to make the kick off. Wempy Karisma hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 60th minute the ball was on its way in behind Karampuang's goalkeeper Muchtar Burhanuddin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A sloppy throw-in by Yusron Handoyo in the 62nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Pandjalili's I Putu Aritonang. Hesky Sahetappy struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Muchtar Burhanuddin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pandjalili. If Hesky Sahetappy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pandjalili's Mandra Budiono was substituted for I Putu Aritonang. Pandjalili's Indiana Zumarnis was substituted for Hesky Sahetappy. Mandra Budiono kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Indiana Zumarnis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Karampuang's Muchtar Burhanuddin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Indiana Zumarnis in the 76th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Indiana Zumarnis in the 84th minute of play forced Karampuang's goalkeeper Muchtar Burhanuddin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Fuad Manurung in the 87th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Pandjalili's Sigit Heryuwono. Indiana Zumarnis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Muchtar Burhanuddin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Karampuang's goalkeeper Muchtar Burhanuddin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Rayana Asmawi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Pandjalili fans cheered their team off the field, for while Karampuang had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
