The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 7 minutes into the match, Pasuruan FC's goalkeeper Ardhika Sutarsa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bonit Darusman. Alvin Khalid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bambang Wilmansyah in the 9th minute of play. Ilham Nurapratama hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute, Bonit Darusman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Putra Temegai fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Bambang Wilmansyah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvin Khalid having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Guntur Sunarya during the 34th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 35th minute, Guntur Sunarya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alvin Khalid made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bambang Wilmansyah stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Alvin Khalid made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Syamsul Antono sent off a good shot on target. In the 61st minute Bonit Darusman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ardhika Sutarsa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Syamsul Antono had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bambang Wilmansyah recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guntur Sunarya fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvin Khalid having to interfere. After 74 played minutes Putra Temegai got a freekick which was hit by Theo Goeslaw. Pasuruan FC's Izaak Pangaribuan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 75th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Putra Temegai. A hard shot 84 in the game by Bambang Wilmansyah from a close distance when the talented Alvin Khalid managed to make a qualified save. Putra Temegai's players were relieved. Cosmas Affandy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosmas Affandy in the 89th minute of play forced Pasuruan FC's goalkeeper Ardhika Sutarsa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alvin Khalid made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bambang Wilmansyah in the 92nd minute of play. A collision led to Putra Temegai getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Adar Sunarya hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Bambang Wilmansyah managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pasuruan FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Bambang Wilmansyah was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alvin Khalid breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pasuruan FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
