Surya Squad's Arief Kurnaedi got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Syaiful Surbakti kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Surya Squad defense, Husein Sawali kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Genta Wisanggeni. The Surya Squad fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Genta Wisanggeni should have stopped the shot. When Arief Kurnaedi came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Surya Squad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arief Kurnaedi couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute, Surya Squad's Arief Kurnaedi ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Widyawan Hasibuan. Widyawan Hasibuan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. When Chairil Sutarsa came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Surya Squad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Chairil Sutarsa couldn't finish the play. When Syaiful Surbakti fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Surya Squad's protests and gave Syaiful Surbakti a yellow card for diving instead. Syaiful Surbakti kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chairil Sutarsa to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Arief Kurnaedi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Surya Squad's supporters rose to their feet, but Arief Kurnaedi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Widyawan Hasibuan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chairil Sutarsa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 55 played minutes Surya Squad got a freekick which was hit by Primus Poesponegoro. The nice shot from Porman Leimena in the 56thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Genta Wisanggeni had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Arief Kurnaedi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Widyawan Hasibuan having to interfere. If Chairil Sutarsa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Talangbenal's goalkeeper Widyawan Hasibuan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Chairil Sutarsa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arief Kurnaedi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 78 minutes, Chairil Sutarsa made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Talangbenal's Widyawan Hasibuan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84th minute, Arief Kurnaedi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 85 played minutes Surya Squad got a freekick which was hit by Syaiful Surbakti. When Arief Kurnaedi came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Surya Squad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arief Kurnaedi couldn't finish the play. Surya Squad's Chairil Sutarsa got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chairil Sutarsa in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Widyawan Hasibuan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Chairil Sutarsa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Surya Squad's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
