After having played for 4 minutes, Adolf Wanggai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Daqing Jaya United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adolf Wanggai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 7th minute, Daqing Jaya United's Husin Setiawan seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Husin Setiawan the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Daqing Jaya United protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Husin Setiawan had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Daqing Jaya United getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Husin Setiawan hit a great ball. Utoh Mardiansyah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fitrah Mangkulangit in the 8th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ijul Sangaji got free with Utoh Mardiansyah in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to PSS Tahulandang getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Hans Darussalam hit a great ball. Ijul Sangaji fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Utoh Mardiansyah having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Vicky Tedjamukti got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in PSS Tahulandang's zone, Engkus Hutajulu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nakula Idris came out of the goal and Engkus Hutajulu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Utoh Mardiansyah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicky Tedjamukti in the 30th minute of play. Engkus Hutajulu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jojon Kusudiarjo took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nakula Idris. Nakula Idris dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Jojon Kusudiarjo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adolf Wanggai stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Engkus Hutajulu was extremely unlucky when he, in the 53rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Fitrah Mangkulangit hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Jojon Kusudiarjo from long distance, 56 minutes into the match, got Nakula Idris's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Engkus Hutajulu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mahadi Nyakmad made in the 73rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Hans Darussalam however managed to control. Daqing Jaya United's Jojon Kusudiarjo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fitrah Mangkulangit in the 76 minute of the game. Jojon Kusudiarjo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jojon Kusudiarjo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Nakula Idris tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Daqing Jaya United getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Chris Kundang hit a great ball. Jojon Kusudiarjo kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. In the 87th minute of the match Fitrah Mangkulangit sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Utoh Mardiansyah skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, PSS Tahulandang's Dedi Djarot got a free kick in the 89th minute. Vicky Tedjamukti scored 1-1 in the 94th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Utoh Mardiansyah, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Daqing Jaya United players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
