The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Edgar Bărbuceanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Radja Warauw's late challenge caught a Metro Tower's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Radja Warauw helped the player get up and apologised. In the 3rd minute, Radja Warauw hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Concetto Penna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jamil Hartono in the 16th minute of the match. Maman Sugianto struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Concetto Penna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SS ELMARA. When Farhat Kurnaedi came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Metro Tower fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Farhat Kurnaedi couldn't finish the play. With his leg Mahyadi Arsana managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Metro Tower's Farhat Kurnaedi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 25 minutes into the match, SS ELMARA's goalkeeper Mahyadi Arsana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Farhat Kurnaedi. Ridwan Hadiningrat's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mahyadi Arsana read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th match minute, Metro Tower was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arul Saragih to maneuver through the defense. After 30 played minutes SS ELMARA got a freekick which was hit by Jeffry Isdiantono. In the 31st minute of the match Shoto Madura sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mahyadi Arsana skillfully saved the ball. Concetto Penna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xaverius Sianipar in the 33rd minute of the match. Metro Tower's Ridwan Hadiningrat got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ridwan Hadiningrat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Mahyadi Arsana made a huge save. Yudha Fachrezi scored 2-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mahyadi Arsana, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Metro Tower's Guruh Sudarno got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Concetto Penna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Xaverius Sianipar went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Farhat Kurnaedi to make the kick off. Farhat Kurnaedi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Mahyadi Arsana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Edgar Bărbuceanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Metro Tower fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. When Yudha Fachrezi fell near the penalty area in the 60th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Metro Tower's protests and gave Yudha Fachrezi a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SS ELMARA booed when Metro Tower was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yudha Fachrezi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Didin Hutajulu was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 66 minutes into the match. After 65 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SS ELMARA! The referee gave Metro Tower a penalty, 67 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Edgar Bărbuceanu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SS ELMARA's Mahyadi Arsana. 4-1. In the 71st minute, Jamil Hartono got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Farhat Kurnaedi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jamil Hartono charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jamil Hartono the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, SS ELMARA's Jamil Hartono got a free kick in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Bărbuceanu in the 80th minute of play forced SS ELMARA's goalkeeper Mahyadi Arsana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. SS ELMARA's Mahyadi Arsana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yudha Fachrezi in the 81st minute of play. A collision led to Metro Tower getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Nazario Casoliva hit a great ball. With a little luck, Metro Tower's Concetto Penna got control of the ball when Jeffry Isdiantono tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgar Bărbuceanu in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mahyadi Arsana prevented the ball from getting in the gole. SS ELMARA's Jeffry Isdiantono got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 88 played minutes Metro Tower got a freekick which was hit by Yudha Fachrezi. SS ELMARA were awarded a corner in the 90th minute after Metro Tower's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Xaverius Sianipar took the corner. The corner ended in Xaverius Sianipar almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Metro Tower's Concetto Penna did a great save. Concetto Penna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamil Hartono in the 91st minute of play. Metro Tower's Concetto Penna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeffry Isdiantono in the 92nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeffry Isdiantono got free with Concetto Penna in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 101 minutes, Jamil Hartono took a quick shot and it went in 4-2 without a chance for Concetto Penna to make any attempt to save it. Metro Tower were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SS ELMARA for a fine match.
