The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Warriors FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the match, Warriors FC's Gogon Dharmasakti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stevanus Darwis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gogon Dharmasakti in the 17th minute of play forced Putra Wamberimi's goalkeeper Stevanus Darwis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Victor Goeslaw had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stevanus Darwis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gogon Dharmasakti in the 19th minute of the match. Putra Wamberimi's Stevanus Darwis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Putra Wamberimi from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Putra Wamberimi's Stevanus Darwis got control of the ball when Gogon Dharmasakti tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Warriors FC booed when Putra Wamberimi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eka Silitonga didn't get a good kick on the ball. I Nyoman Hudaya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Stevanus Darwis made a huge save. Victor Goeslaw fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stevanus Darwis having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Yus Bramantio made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Warriors FC booed when Putra Wamberimi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. May Mangkulangit didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 52nd minute, I Nyoman Hudaya sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Putra Wamberimi's Stevanus Darwis didn't even have to move. Ade Abidin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gogon Dharmasakti in the 66th minute of play forced Putra Wamberimi's goalkeeper Stevanus Darwis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 79th minute Gogon Dharmasakti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stevanus Darwis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stevanus Darwis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Goeslaw in the 81st minute of the match. After 89 played minutes Warriors FC got a freekick which was hit by Ponaryo Sinurat. Ade Abidin came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by Putra Wamberimi's Panji Widagdo. But to his dismay, Panji Widagdo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The Putra Wamberimi players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
