The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Otong Mulyana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mahyadi Baso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mahyadi Baso struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Otong Mulyana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Semboeloe. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ari Sutimbul in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zein Yudhoyono saved Semboeloe from getting behind. Zein Yudhoyono showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miftah Kalabessi, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Tanji Suryoprayogo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Otong Mulyana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Tanjung Fire fans' excitement grew in the 30th match minute when Tanjung Fire's Miftah Kalabessi looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 37th minute, Miftah Kalabessi made a precise shot to the right of Zein Yudhoyono. Semboeloe's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Ari Sutimbul sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tanji Suryoprayogo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Otong Mulyana having to interfere. The Semboeloe players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tanjung Fire were winning 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mahyadi Baso made a kick off. After 52 played minutes Semboeloe got a freekick which was hit by Alex Mandaga. In the 53rd minute, Aldri Suminta sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Semboeloe's Zein Yudhoyono didn't even have to move. Semboeloe's Zein Yudhoyono proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Semboeloe from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Semboeloe defense, Miftah Kalabessi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zein Yudhoyono. The Semboeloe fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zein Yudhoyono should have stopped the shot. Ari Sutimbul received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Zein Yudhoyono tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miftah Kalabessi did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-6 to the left of a surprised Zein Yudhoyono 63 minutes into the match. If Tanji Suryoprayogo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 71 minutes into the game, one of Semboeloe:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 75th minute, Miftah Kalabessi fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 77th minute Ari Sutimbul shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zein Yudhoyono saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miftah Kalabessi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Zein Yudhoyono tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Semboeloe getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Agil Hakim hit a great ball. Semboeloe's Zein Yudhoyono played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ari Sutimbul in the 85th minute of play. In the 90th match minute, Semboeloe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Effendy to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute Aldri Suminta managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. After a rather tough play, Semboeloe's Andi Harjo got a free kick in the 96th minute. In the 97th minute, Aldri Suminta sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Semboeloe's Zein Yudhoyono didn't even have to move. When Andi Harjo fell near the penalty area in the 98th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Semboeloe's protests and gave Andi Harjo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Semboeloe getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Andi Harjo hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Semboeloe's zone, Zein Kertaradjasa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zein Yudhoyono came out of the goal and Zein Kertaradjasa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Semboeloe fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Tanjung Fire were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
