I Made Priyatno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Muchlas Sutisna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Garuda Indonesia FC's Martin Waroka got a free kick in the 22nd minute. The referee showed Hadiman Ie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Gideon Bachdim managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garuda Indonesia FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gideon Bachdim was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hugon Knopek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Garuda Indonesia FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
