After a defensive mix-up in Menang Kalah Tawuran's zone, Edgardo Ekaitz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bela Negara came out of the goal and Edgardo Ekaitz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bela Negara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihail Dumitras in the 41st minute of the match. In the 45th minute, Rafael Leão made a precise shot to the right of Nicanor Loiola. BASEL FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mihail Dumitras made a kick off.
