Nguyễn Thi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bùi Ritchell in the 17th minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, huyhoafn2222's Trần Anh Hung nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nguyễn Tinh made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Dương Ritchell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dương Ritchell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Thi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nguyễn Khoi's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Trần Anh Hung's late challenge caught a huyhoafn2222's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Trần Anh Hung helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Hai Phong getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Trần Anh Hung hit a great ball. After 37 played minutes huyhoafn2222 got a freekick which was hit by Trần Nam. Phạm Phuong took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nguyễn Thi. huyhoafn2222's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Nguyễn Khoi came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Hai Phong fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Khoi couldn't finish the play. Dương Ritchell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nguyễn Tinh having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Trần Anh Hung managed to get in a good position for a shot. huyhoafn2222's supporters rose to their feet, but Trần Anh Hung was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Tinh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nguyễn Tinh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dương Ritchell in the 47th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bùi Ritchell stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Dương Ritchell, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 52 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Nguyễn Tinh was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. During the 53rd minute of the match Trần Anh Hung completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Trần Anh Hung a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. 58 minutes into the match, Trần Anh Hung notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Hai Phong's Nguyễn Tinh. Nguyễn Tinh was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the huyhoafn2222 defense, Nguyễn Khoi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nguyễn Thi. The huyhoafn2222 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nguyễn Thi should have stopped the shot. After having played for 66 minutes, Trần Anh Hung managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. huyhoafn2222's supporters crossed their fingers, but Trần Anh Hung was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Huỳnh Duy hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. If Dương Ritchell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 minutes, Bùi Ritchell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hai Phong and the huyhoafn2222 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Hai Phong's Bùi Ritchell got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Nguyễn Duong succeeded in the game's 73rd minute to get real power on a long shot . Hai Phong's Nguyễn Tinh hadn't the time to block the shot which was pasted into the goal, 3-1! In the 88th match minute, huyhoafn2222 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Bay to maneuver through the defense. Trần Anh Hung recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nguyễn Khoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Thi having to interfere. huyhoafn2222's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
