An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Thanh in the 14th minute of play forced Dong Xoai's goalkeeper Đặng Hung to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute of the match, Ngô Hung tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Lê Hoang saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Dong Xoai's goalkeeper Đặng Hung, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 29 minutes of play, Lao Bao's Phạm Dung made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Đặng Hung was left in no man's land by his defense there! They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Lao Bao would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
