Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Trần Nhật Minh got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the game, Trần Nhật Minh cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Nguyễn Chuong was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Trần Nhật Minh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Phan Nam took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vũ Tuan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Trần Nhật Minh left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sprint Athletic fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Huỳnh Duy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Nguyễn Chuong stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Trần Nhật Minh's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. 20 minutes into the match, Lê Anh Hung had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Phan Nam. Sprint Athletic's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lê Anh Hung was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Huỳnh Duy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute Trần Nam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Chuong saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trần Nam in the 40th minute of play forced Man united's goalkeeper Nguyễn Chuong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th match minute, Man united was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lê Bien to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Vương Ho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sprint Athletic's supporters rose to their feet, but Vương Ho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Chuong breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Vũ Tuan made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Man united got a freekick which was hit by Lê Duc. Vũ Tuan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 56 played minutes Sprint Athletic got a freekick which was hit by Trần Nhật Minh. Trần Nhật Minh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lê Tấn Dũng during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Man united getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Lê Tấn Dũng hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Man united's Võ Hong Minh got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Nguyễn Chuong took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trần Nhật Minh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vũ Tuan in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Phan Nam prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 85 minutes into the game, Vũ Tuan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Phan Nam. Vũ Tuan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. 88 minutes into the match, Nguyễn Tuan notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Man united's Nguyễn Chuong. Nguyễn Chuong was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 92nd match minute, Sprint Athletic was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vương Ho to maneuver through the defense. When Vũ Tuan came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Man united fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vũ Tuan couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Man united booed when Sprint Athletic was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Cong Vinh didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sprint Athletic had played much better football throughout.
