Nguyễn Tu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 3rd playminute. Nguyễn Minh-ha didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lê Hanh went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. If Võ Dung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Võ Dung fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Tan having to interfere. Nguyễn Minh-ha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Đặng Hung, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Đặng Hung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of EscFail United booed when Tây Đô FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Chuong didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tây Đô FC's zone, Đặng Hung stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Minh-ha came out of the goal and Đặng Hung tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nguyễn Tan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Võ Dung in the 35th minute of the match. Nguyễn Minh-ha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lê Hanh in the 36th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Tây Đô FC's zone, Lê Hanh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Minh-ha came out of the goal and Lê Hanh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nguyễn Minh-ha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lê Hanh in the 42nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lê Hanh in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Minh-ha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lê Hanh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Minh-ha having to interfere. Lê Hanh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Nguyễn Minh-ha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lê Hanh to make the kick off. In the 57th minute, Nguyễn Huy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tây Đô FC's Nguyễn Minh-ha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Tây Đô FC from getting a goal against them. Nguyễn Phuc kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Phạm Thien charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Phạm Thien the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 73 played minutes Tây Đô FC got a freekick which was hit by Phạm Thien. In the 73rd minute, Nguyễn Tuan Hoang sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Tây Đô FC's Nguyễn Minh-ha didn't even have to move. Lê Hanh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nguyễn Minh-ha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. After 87 minutes of play, Tây Đô FC's Võ Dung made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nguyễn Tan was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 97th minute, Nguyễn Huy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 99th minute of the match Trần Thuy sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nguyễn Tan skillfully saved the ball.
