Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Lê Binh took the kick off in the first half of the match. With a little luck, EscFail United's Nguyễn Tan got control of the ball when Lê Binh tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bùi Lien came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by EscFail United's Nguyễn Huy. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Huy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Bùi Lien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lê Hanh in the 17th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Đặng Hung in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bùi Lien saved Pleiku from getting behind. EscFail United's Lê Hanh got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nguyễn Tan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Võ Thi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nguyễn Tan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Võ Thi in the 23rd minute of the match. 27 minutes into the game, Pleiku's Lê Binh nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nguyễn Tan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Lê Binh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Nguyễn Tan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nguyễn Tan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Võ Thi in the 31st minute of the match. Lê Binh struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Nguyễn Tan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pleiku. Bùi Lien showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lê Hanh, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. When Võ Thi came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Pleiku fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Võ Thi couldn't finish the play. 47 minutes into the match, Pleiku's Lê Binh sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nguyễn Tan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lê Hanh to strike the kick off in the second half. If Võ Thi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Tan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lê Binh, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute, EscFail United's Lê Hanh ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bùi Lien. Bùi Lien yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. In the 59th minute, Đặng Hung made a precise shot to the right of Bùi Lien. Pleiku's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. Phan Nam kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Võ Thi scored 3-4 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nguyễn Tan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Pleiku booed when EscFail United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Huy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Võ Thi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Tan having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Lê Binh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pleiku's supporters rose to their feet, but Lê Binh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Tan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lê Hanh in the 76th minute of play forced Pleiku's goalkeeper Bùi Lien to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Võ Thi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Nguyễn Tan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bùi Lien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lê Hanh in the 81st minute of the match. The supporters of EscFail United booed when Pleiku was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lâm Nam didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lê Hanh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bùi Lien having to interfere. The EscFail United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing EscFail United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
