Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Trần Hoang kicked off to start the match. Lao Bao's Ngô Ritchell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Đoàn Nam in the 5th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Trần Hoang in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ngô Ritchell saved Lao Bao from getting behind. Through an outstanding action, after 12 minutes, Ngô Ritchell successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a little luck, Lao Bao's Ngô Ritchell got control of the ball when Phạm Quang tried to sneak it across the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Lao Bao's goal looked a bit too open when Trần Hoang came free, but Ngô Ritchell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Gia Nghia's Phạm Quang dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Trần Hoang in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ngô Ritchell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Phạm Quang could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Ngô Ritchell made a huge save. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gia Nghia's goalkeeper Trần Hieu Ngan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 31st minute, one of Lao Bao:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lao Bao. Lao Bao:s Ngô Ritchell showed great skill when he stopped Huỳnh Liem:s penalty. If Trần Hoang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ngô Ritchell made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Phạm Quang sent off a good shot on target. In the 39thth minute of the game Trần Hoang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lao Bao's Ngô Ritchell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 43 minutes into the match, Phạm Quang had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ngô Ritchell. Lao Bao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Phạm Quang was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. 45 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Nam was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lao Bao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gia Nghia the free kick. Nguyễn Nam kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Gia Nghia's Huỳnh Liem couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 46th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Lao Bao. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Nguyễn Duy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Nguyễn Duy came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Gia Nghia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Duy couldn't finish the play. Ngô Ritchell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Trần Hoang's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Phạm Quang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ngô Ritchell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Gia Nghia's Trần Hoang in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lao Bao's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Phạm Quang in the 62nd minute of play forced Lao Bao's goalkeeper Ngô Ritchell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trần Hoang struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Ngô Ritchell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gia Nghia. After 69 minutes of play, Gia Nghia's Nguyễn Duy made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ngô Ritchell was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 71 played minutes Gia Nghia got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Duy. 73 minutes into the match, Phạm Quang notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Lao Bao's Ngô Ritchell. Ngô Ritchell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Trần Hoang scored 5-0 in the 77th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ngô Ritchell, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 82nd minute, Phạm Quang made a precise shot to the right of Ngô Ritchell. Lao Bao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-0. In the 85thth minute of the game Phạm Quang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lao Bao's Ngô Ritchell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Trần Hoang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ngô Ritchell having to interfere. Nguyễn Duy got his second yellow card in the match during the 95th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Nguyễn Duy kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Gia Nghia were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Lao Bao for a fine match.
