Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nguyễn Dung got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Son La booed when My Tho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lê Dong didn't get a good kick on the ball. Trần Nam shot from long distance in the 6th minute, but Đặng Tấn Dũng was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. La Thi kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Lê Tong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Dung in the 15th minute of play forced My Tho's goalkeeper Đặng Tấn Dũng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nguyễn Minh came free with the goalkeeper in the 18th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Đặng Tấn Dũng could save by the left post. Nguyễn Minh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Thai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lê Tong in the 27th minute of the match. Nguyễn Minh struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Đặng Tấn Dũng didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Son La. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lê Thi during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, My Tho's Lê Thi got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute, Nguyễn Minh left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Son La fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Nguyễn Minh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Thai having to interfere. In the 70th minute Lê Tong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Thai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76thth minute of the game Nguyễn Minh who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but My Tho's Đặng Tấn Dũng was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 78 minutes into the match, My Tho's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Minh came free, but Đặng Tấn Dũng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, My Tho's Huỳnh Diem got a free kick in the 82nd minute. My Tho's Lê Tong got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nguyễn Minh's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 93rdth minute, Nguyễn Thai skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Nguyễn Thai made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Nguyễn Minh sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lê Thi got free with Nguyễn Thai in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Son La's Trần Nam got a free kick in the 98th minute.
