A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 9th minute, Huỳnh Hong ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vũ Pham was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. In the 15th minute, Huỳnh Hong left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Duc Minh fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Huỳnh Hong managed to get in a good position for a shot. Duc Minh's supporters rose to their feet, but Huỳnh Hong was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vũ Pham breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match had been going on for 20 minutes, Duc Minh's Huỳnh Cuc got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Vũ Pham. Huỳnh Hong sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Huỳnh Hong let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 27th minute shot 5-0 at rihgt post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huỳnh Hong in the 35th minute of play forced My Tho's goalkeeper Vũ Pham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Đặng Cadeo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Vũ Pham, 6-0. Huỳnh Hong who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 44thth minute tested the skills of Vũ Pham when he managed to save the team from getting behind.

Đặng Cadeo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vũ Pham having to interfere. Lê Thuyet struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Vũ Pham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Duc Minh. Vũ Pham came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Duc Minh's Huỳnh Hong. But to his dismay, Huỳnh Hong quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0.
