Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Phan Hoa started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Phu Tho's Nguyễn Liem got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Đào Thuy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Văn Bien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Phan Hoa in the 7th minute of the match. Văn Bien came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Bạc Li's Phan Hoa. But to his dismay, Phan Hoa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 12th minute, Phan Hoa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bạc Li fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The supporters of Bạc Li booed when Phu Tho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Minh didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Bạc Li's Phạm Thi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Văn Bien narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Phan Hoa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Phu Tho's Văn Bien played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Lien in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd match minute, Phu Tho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Phu to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Phan Hoa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bạc Li's supporters rose to their feet, but Phan Hoa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Văn Bien breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Bạc Li's Phan Hoa in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Phu Tho's goalie prevented a goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Văn Bien prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 37th match minute, Phu Tho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vũ Nam to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ngô Hong in the 42nd minute of play forced Phu Tho's goalkeeper Văn Bien to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Phan Hoa put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Văn Bien. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nguyễn Minh stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Phạm Thi notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Phu Tho's Văn Bien. Văn Bien was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 59 minutes into the match, Phan Hoa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Văn Bien. Phu Tho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Phan Hoa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Phan Hoa struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Văn Bien didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bạc Li. In the 68th minute Phan Hoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Văn Bien saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Phạm Thi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Phan Hoa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Văn Bien was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Phan Hoa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Văn Bien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Nguyễn Phu fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Phu Tho's protests and gave Nguyễn Phu a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Phu Tho's Nguyễn Phu got a free kick in the 81st minute. Phạm Thi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Văn Bien came out and tried to block the shot, but Phạm Thi slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 82nd minute. Văn Bien stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Phan Hoa's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Phu Tho's Văn Bien played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phan Hoa in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Huy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Phu Tho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bạc Li the free kick. Nguyễn Huy kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Nguyễn Minh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Đào Thuy in the 94th minute of play forced Bạc Li's goalkeeper Tạ Duc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bạc Li's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
