Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nguyễn Minh took the kick off in the first half of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Phu Tho's goal looked a bit too open when Tạ Tuan came free, but Văn Bien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Văn Bien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tạ Tuan in the 8th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Phu Tho's Nguyễn Minh got a free kick in the 11th minute. Đào Thuy struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Chung Thanh Bình didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Phu Tho. Đào Thuy who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Chung Thanh Bình when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Nguyễn Nam came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Binh Phuoc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nguyễn Nam couldn't finish the play. In the 27th minute, Đào Thuy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Binh Phuoc getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Nguyễn Cong Vinh hit a great ball. Đào Thuy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chung Thanh Bình read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. 34 minutes into the game, Vũ Thanh was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Phu Tho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Binh Phuoc the free kick. In the 34th minute, Vũ Thanh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vũ Thanh kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Nam in the 42nd minute of play forced Phu Tho's goalkeeper Văn Bien to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute, Đào Thuy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Đào Thuy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Phu Tho's supporters rose to their feet, but Đào Thuy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chung Thanh Bình breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Tạ Tuan made the kick off in the second half. When Đào Thuy came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Phu Tho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Đào Thuy couldn't finish the play. In the 54th minute, Đào Thuy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Tạ Tuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Đào Thuy took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Chung Thanh Bình. Chung Thanh Bình dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Đào Thuy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chung Thanh Bình having to interfere. Nguyễn Phu struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Chung Thanh Bình didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Phu Tho. After 71 minutes, Lê Ho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Binh Phuoc and the Phu Tho players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd match minute, Binh Phuoc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lê Ho to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Phu Tho's Nguyễn Cong Vinh tried to score from far away in the 72nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Chung Thanh Bình made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Đào Thuy in the 82nd minute of play. Lê Ho kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. Lê Ho hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Nguyễn Nams short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Văn Bien to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After having played for 94 minutes, Đào Thuy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phu Tho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Đào Thuy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
