After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nguyễn Tong to make the kick off. The tension between the Vietnam Airlines and the duy players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 85 played minutes Vietnam Airlines got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Hung. Nguyễn Duc recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The duy fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when duy's Nguyễn Duc looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. duy played a much better game than Vietnam Airlines and deserved their victory. The Vietnam Airlines players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
