Seating: 1791, VIP seats: 0) Phan Xuan started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Phùng Nam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Hoang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Ha Tinh booed when Binh Dinh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phan Minh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nguyễn Huỳnh came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Ha Tinh's Phùng Nam. But to his dismay, Phùng Nam quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Nguyễn Hoang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Phan Minh-ha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Nguyễn Ho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Phan Xuan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Ho having to interfere. Binh Dinh's Nguyễn Huỳnh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phùng Nam in the 29th minute of play. When Nguyễn Lien fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ha Tinh's protests and gave Nguyễn Lien a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Binh Dinh booed when Ha Tinh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Lien didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 43 played minutes Ha Tinh got a freekick which was hit by Đinh Teo. Nguyễn Hoang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Nguyễn Huỳnh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Phùng Nam was the one to do the kick off. When Ha Tinh's Phùng Nam in the 52nd minute got a chance for a shot 52nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Binh Dinh's goalie prevented a goal. 61 minutes into the match, Binh Dinh's goal looked a bit too open when Phùng Nam came free, but Nguyễn Huỳnh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phan Minh-ha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Nguyễn Ho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Phùng Nam might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nguyễn Huỳnh. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Phùng Nam ran back to his position shaking his head. Nguyễn Huỳnh came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Ha Tinh's Nguyễn Hoang. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Hoang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Ha Tinh's Phùng Nam got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80th minute Phan Minh-ha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Ho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 played minutes Binh Dinh got a freekick which was hit by Đặng Chung. In the 88th minute, Phan Minh-ha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Phùng Nam managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ha Tinh's supporters rose to their feet, but Phùng Nam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nguyễn Huỳnh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 96 minutes into the match, Binh Dinh's goal looked a bit too open when Phùng Nam came free, but Nguyễn Huỳnh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Ha Tinh could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Binh Dinh throughout the match.
