Huỳnh Minh Phượng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lê Tinh in the 86th minute of play. If Lê Duc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ben Tre's Lê Tinh got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ben Tre had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
