The score was now 1-0. 13 minutes into the match, Dương Phuong dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Đặng Khoi, 2-0. If Phan Thuy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hoàng Loc struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Đặng Khoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Quãng Ngãi F.C.. Phan Mai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Nga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Hoang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Quãng Ngãi F.C. booed when Bạc Liêu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phạm Nguyet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Đặng Khoi acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 31st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Phan Mai. The audience thought a goal was coming when Phan Mai got free with Đặng Khoi in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 42 minutes of play, Bạc Liêu's Nguyễn Than made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nguyễn Nga was left in no man's land by his defense there! Phan Mai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Hoang kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Phan Mai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Phan Mai made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Phan Mai managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quãng Ngãi F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Phan Mai was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Phan Thuy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hoàng Loc scored 4-1 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Đặng Khoi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Đặng Quang sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute Phan Mai shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Đặng Khoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nguyễn Than in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nguyễn Nga, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 72nd match minute, Quãng Ngãi F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Đặng Quang to maneuver through the defense. Lê Thai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 83 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Hoang was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Đặng Khoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hoàng Loc, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Quãng Ngãi F.C. fully deserved thier win.
