Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Trần Duc started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Phạm Nguyet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trần Duc in the 2nd minute of the match. After 9 played minutes Cai Be got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Chi. Nguyễn Hoang was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Nguyễn Minh hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. In the 13th minute of the match Nguyễn Hoang sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Đinh Teo skillfully saved the ball. Đinh Teo made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Võ Duc sent off a good shot on target. If Võ Duc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Huynh Duc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Đinh Teo having to interfere. Nguyễn Tuyet charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nguyễn Tuyet the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Ba Ria booed when Cai Be was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nguyễn Tuyet didn't get a good kick on the ball. 36 minutes into the match, Ba Ria's Nguyễn Hoang sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Đinh Teo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 38 minutes of play, Ba Ria's Võ Duc made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Đinh Teo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Võ Duc came free with the goalkeeper in the 42nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Đinh Teo could save by the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Ba Ria's Võ Duc slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Đinh Teo. That made the score 2-0 after 42 minutes of play. Đinh Teo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Huynh Duc in the 46th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
With his leg Phạm Nguyet managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Cai Be's Trần Hung fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Đinh Teo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Huynh Duc in the 66th minute of play. Trần Hung might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Phạm Nguyet. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Trần Hung ran back to his position shaking his head. 85 minutes into the match, Cai Be's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Huynh Duc came free, but Đinh Teo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Trần Hung got free with Phạm Nguyet in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ba Ria fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cai Be had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
