The referee showed Nguyễn Huynh Duc the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nguyễn Viet made a great header on A14K26 FC's corner, it was just that Ba Ria's Phạm Nguyet managed to reach the ball for a save. After the first half Ba Ria were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 70th match minute, Ba Ria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vũ Tan to maneuver through the defense. In the 71st minute, Nguyễn Chuong left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. After having played for 80 minutes, Nguyễn Huynh Duc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When Dương Teo came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the A14K26 FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dương Teo couldn't finish the play. Phạm Nguyet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Chuong in the 90th minute of play. Huỳnh Duy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nguyễn Huynh Duc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 94th minute Nguyễn Huynh Duc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Huỳnh Duy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
