Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Phan Thi Ngoc started the match with the kick off. Phạm Tho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Phạm Quang's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nguyễn Hanh was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. VuStorm's Phạm Tho got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Phạm Quang in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nguyễn Hanh saved VuStorm from getting behind. After 26 played minutes VuStorm got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Bay. In the 27th minute of the match Lê Ho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nguyễn Hanh skillfully saved the ball. Nguyễn Hanh didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Phùng Tran went, in the 29th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Phan Thi Ngoc had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the match, VuStorm's goal looked a bit too open when Phạm Quang came free, but Nguyễn Hanh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 42nd minute Phan Thi Ngoc shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phan Cuc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trần Anh Hung hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half Can Tho were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nguyễn Mai to make the kick off. Nguyễn Hanh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Mai, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 59th minute, Lê Diem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61stth minute of the game Phan Thi Ngoc who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Can Tho's Phan Cuc was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Phạm Tho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phan Cuc having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Phạm Tho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Can Tho's Phan Cuc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phan Thi Ngoc in the 75th minute of play. Phạm Tho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Phan Cuc tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute of the match Nguyễn Bay sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Phan Cuc skillfully saved the ball. In the 84th minute, Phùng Tran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Phan Cuc stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Phan Thi Ngoc's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. The VuStorm supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Can Tho's performance. The match ended with a win for Can Tho.
