With an all-out effort, Dong Hung's La Thuyet threw himself towards the right post 10 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nguyễn Lien, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Viet Tri's Nguyễn Huy got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nguyễn Bien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Huy in the 98th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Viet Tri players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dong Hung.
