The coaching staff of Thai Binh protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Phan Phong had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Thai Binh fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 98th minute. Penalty! The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Thai Binh had won after a very even match.
