With a left leg La Thuyet saved Viet Tri from getting behind. 19 minutes into the match, Viet Tri's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Anh Hung came free, but La Thuyet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Phan Viet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but La Thuyet was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. If Đặng Dinh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 28 played minutes TS125 got a freekick which was hit by Phan Viet. Đặng Dinh scored 2-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nguyễn Hieu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Đặng Dinh kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nguyễn Hieu. That made the score 3-0 in the 32 minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Viet Tri's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Hoai came free, but La Thuyet reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, TS125's Nguyễn Hoai sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that La Thuyet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh managed to get in a good position for a shot. TS125's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Nghiêm-Minh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. La Thuyet breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nguyễn Anh Hung in the 44th minute of play forced Viet Tri's goalkeeper La Thuyet to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nguyễn Hoai made a kick off. In the 53rd match minute, TS125 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Dinh to maneuver through the defense. After 56 played minutes Viet Tri got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Huy. Nguyễn Anh Hung recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nguyễn Hieu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Đặng Dinh, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After a rather tough play, TS125's Phan Viet got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Nguyễn Tho took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nguyễn Hieu. TS125's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Nguyễn Hoai struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. La Thuyet didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for TS125. If Nguyễn Hoai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th match minute, Viet Tri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nguyễn Duong to maneuver through the defense. La Thuyet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Hoai in the 71st minute of the match. When Nguyễn Van Quyen fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Viet Tri's protests and gave Nguyễn Van Quyen a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Viet Tri fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! After 79 played minutes Viet Tri got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Duong. In the 80th minute the ball was on its way in behind Viet Tri's goalkeeper La Thuyet, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 81st minute Nguyễn Huy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Hieu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th minute Đặng Dinh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Hieu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nguyễn Hieu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Huy in the 91st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Đặng Dinh in the 95th minute of play forced TS125's goalkeeper Nguyễn Hieu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Viet Tri had won after a very even match.
