Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Dương Hieu kicked off to start the match. Lê Tuan Hoang came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Viet Tri's Nguyễn Huy. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Huy quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Nguyễn Huy struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Lê Tuan Hoang didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viet Tri. La Thuyet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dương Hieu in the 12th minute of play. Lê Tuan Hoang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Đặng Dinh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Đặng Dinh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17thth minute of the game Nguyễn Huy who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thai Binh's Lê Tuan Hoang was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Đặng Dinh's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lê Tuan Hoang was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Viet Tri's goalkeeper La Thuyet, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Viet Tri's La Thuyet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dương Hieu in the 24th minute of play. 24 minutes into the match, Dương Hieu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of La Thuyet, 1-1. If Dương Hieu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute Dương Hieu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but La Thuyet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 33 minutes, Đặng Dinh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Viet Tri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Đặng Dinh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nguyễn Huy struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Lê Tuan Hoang didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viet Tri. Đặng Dinh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Tạ Hung could shoot a difficult shot in the 48th minute, which La Thuyet however easily saved by the left post. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nguyễn Huy made a kick off. In the 56th minute Dương Hieu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but La Thuyet saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lê Tuan Hoang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nguyễn Huy in the 77th minute of the match. After having played for 83 minutes, Nguyễn Huy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Viet Tri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Huy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nguyễn Huy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Lê Tuan Hoang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. La Thuyet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tạ Hung in the 94th minute of the match. Dương Hieu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lê Tuan Hoang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nguyễn Huy's shot from short distance in the 97th minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
