The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Lê Hong Minh showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Dinh, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Tuan Hoang quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Binh Duong had played much better football throughout.
