Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nguyễn Loc kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Nguyễn Dong hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 4 played minutes Mui Ne got a freekick which was hit by Hồ Thanh. Hồ Thanh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hồ Thanh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Phan Nam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tôn Chi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Dong, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 17th minute, Hồ Thanh reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Phan Nam. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 22nd minute, Hồ Thanh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute Nguyễn Dong shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tôn Chi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 minutes of play, Ha Tay's Nguyễn Loc made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tôn Chi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tôn Chi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Dong, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Tôn Chi came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ha Tay's Nguyễn Thuyet. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Thuyet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 39th minute Trần Dung shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phan Nam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 played minutes, Ha Tay's Lâm Minh Phượng shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tôn Chi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ha Tay reached it. In the 44th minute Hồ Thanh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phan Nam saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mui Ne's Tôn Chi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phạm Lan in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hồ Thanh was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Ha Tay got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Teo. Nguyễn Tan struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Phan Nam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mui Ne. Mui Ne's Hồ Thanh got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Mui Ne getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Nguyễn Hieu Ngan hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Nguyễn Loc managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ha Tay's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Loc was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tôn Chi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ha Tay's Nguyễn Loc got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 66th minute, Nguyễn Tan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Trần Dung managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mui Ne's supporters rose to their feet, but Trần Dung was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Phan Nam breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 76 played minutes Mui Ne got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Hieu Ngan. Tôn Chi acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 77th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Phạm Van Quyen. Phạm Lan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Tôn Chi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Mui Ne defense, Nguyễn Thuyet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tôn Chi. The Mui Ne fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tôn Chi should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nguyễn Thuyet got free with Tôn Chi in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hồ Thanh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phan Nam having to interfere. In the 86th minute, Phạm Van Quyen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 95 minutes into the match, Nguyễn Thuyet notched a goal, 2-5, to the right of Mui Ne's Tôn Chi. Tôn Chi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Ha Tay had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
