Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Da Lat's Trần Van Tai Em started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Da Lat's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Việt Nam the free kick. Nguyễn Nhật Minh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 18 minutes, Đỗ Cuc managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Da Lat's supporters crossed their fingers, but Đỗ Cuc was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Việt Nam's Đặng Liem proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Việt Nam from getting a goal against them. 25 minutes into the match, Da Lat's Đỗ Cuc sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Đặng Liem narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trần Van Tai Em in the 28th minute of play forced Việt Nam's goalkeeper Đặng Liem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Trần Van Tai Em managed to get in a good position for a shot. Da Lat's supporters rose to their feet, but Trần Van Tai Em was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Đặng Liem breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nghiêm Tu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Nguyễn Dong tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Da Lat's Nguyễn Dong played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nghiêm Tu in the 40th minute of play. Nguyễn Nhật Minh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Dong having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Da Lat's Trần Van Tai Em slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Đặng Liem. That made the score 2-0 after 44 minutes of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Việt Nam's Nguyễn Nhật Minh got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 80thth minute of the game Nguyễn Nhật Minh who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Da Lat's Nguyễn Dong was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Đặng Liem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Đỗ Cuc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Việt Nam's Đặng Liem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trần Van Tai Em in the 87th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Việt Nam's Nguyễn Nhật Minh sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nguyễn Dong narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
