Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Sam Son b's goal looked a bit too open when Đoàn Quang came free, but Nguyễn Duc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nguyễn Duc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Đoàn Quang in the 21st minute of the match. After 22 played minutes Sam Son b got a freekick which was hit by Hoàng Nghiêm-Minh. After 23 minutes of play, Dak Lak's Đoàn Quang made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nguyễn Duc was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sam Son b's Hoàng Duy got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 28 played minutes Dak Lak got a freekick which was hit by Vũ Minh Phượng. Chung Hoai sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chung Hoai struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Nguyễn Duc didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dak Lak. In the 38thth minute of the game Đoàn Quang who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sam Son b's Nguyễn Duc was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Sam Son b fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! In the 44th minute, Lê Minh Phượng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 48 played minutes Sam Son b got a freekick which was hit by Lê Minh Phượng.

The audience was convinced that La Diem's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Phan Thien was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. When La Diem got free in front of the goal in the 70th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Phan Thien was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar.
