Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Lao Cai's Nguyễn Thuyet proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Lao Cai from getting a goal against them. La Tuan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nguyễn Chung's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Huỳnh Viet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Huỳnh Viet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without La Tuan having to interfere. A collision led to Ha Tay getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Lê Bay hit a great ball. In the 21stth minute of the game Nguyễn Chung who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ha Tay's La Tuan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Nguyễn Chung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Lao Cai's Nguyễn Thuyet got control of the ball when Lê Than tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 29th minute, Lê Tran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nguyễn Chung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. La Tuan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Huỳnh Viet's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Lê Than could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Nguyễn Thuyet made a huge save. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The wind increased when Nguyễn Hieu Ngan made the kick off in the second half. Nguyễn Chung sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Huỳnh Viet's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but La Tuan was relentless in the 56th minute of the game. If Nguyễn Chung had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nguyễn Thuyet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lê Than in the 87th minute of play. Huỳnh Viet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Anh Hung was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ha Tay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lao Cai the free kick. After 92 played minutes Ha Tay got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Anh Hung. La Tuan was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Trần Viet. Ha Tay's La Tuan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Huỳnh Viet in the 96th minute of play. Lao Cai's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
