Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dak Lak's Đoàn Quang started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Dak Lak was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trần Hung to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Tôn Nga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Phan Thien was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. In the 11th minute the ball was on its way in behind Dak Lak's goalkeeper Phan Thien, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vũ Tấn Dũng made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Chung Hoai sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chung Hoai got free with Vũ Tấn Dũng in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Beast booed when Dak Lak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Đoàn Quang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vũ Tấn Dũng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Đoàn Quang, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute, Trần Hoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Chung Hoai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vũ Tấn Dũng made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chung Hoai in the 27th minute. Trần Tuan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 34 minutes, Đoàn Quang managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dak Lak's supporters crossed their fingers, but Đoàn Quang was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Trần Tuan in the 38th minute of play forced Dak Lak's goalkeeper Phan Thien to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beast's Vũ Tấn Dũng played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Đoàn Quang in the 47th minute of play.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Trần Hoa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beast's supporters rose to their feet, but Trần Hoa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Phan Thien breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Đoàn Quang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vũ Tấn Dũng having to interfere. Dak Lak's Phan Thien played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Trần Tuan in the 62nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Chung Hoai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dak Lak's supporters rose to their feet, but Chung Hoai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vũ Tấn Dũng breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Beast defense, Đoàn Quang kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vũ Tấn Dũng. The Beast fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vũ Tấn Dũng should have stopped the shot. If Chung Hoai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vũ Tấn Dũng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Đoàn Quang in the 76th minute of play. Tôn Nga might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Phan Thien. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tôn Nga ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Beast's Trần Hoa got a free kick in the 80th minute. Beast's Trần Tuan got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dak Lak's Phan Thien played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tôn Nga in the 83rd minute of play. Phan Thien showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trần Tuan, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. If Trần Tuan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chung Hoai received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Vũ Tấn Dũng tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Dak Lak fans cheered their team off the field, for while Beast had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
