A wasted opportunity for Sam Son b. La Diem recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12th minute Lê Phu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Duc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nguyễn Thuyet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sam Son b's Nguyễn Duc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Sam Son b from getting a goal against them. La Diem scored 0-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Phan Thai, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th minute Hoàng Duy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Phan Thai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If La Diem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hoàng Duy struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Phan Thai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sam Son b. Phan Thai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from La Diem, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nguyễn Thuyet to make the kick off. After 52 played minutes Sam Son b got a freekick which was hit by Hoàng Nghiêm-Minh. If Lê Phu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lang Son's Lê Phu in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sam Son b's goalie prevented a goal. If La Diem had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 57 in the game by La Diem from a close distance when the talented Phan Thai managed to make a qualified save. Lang Son's players were relieved. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 60th minute of the game. One of Sam Son b:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lang Son:s goal. Sam Son b:s Nguyễn Duc showed great skill when he stopped Nguyễn Nhật Minh:s penalty. In the 62nd minute, Nguyễn Nhật Minh ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nguyễn Duc was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Sam Son b's Phan Van Quyen shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 64th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Phan Thai but with some difficulty. Phan Thai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hoàng Duy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Hoàng Duy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Lang Son's Nguyễn Thai got a free kick in the 70th minute. Phan Thai took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hoàng Duy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Phan Thai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hoàng Duy in the 80th minute of play. La Diem fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Phan Thai having to interfere. Lê Phu took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nguyễn Duc. Nguyễn Duc dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Nguyễn Duc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lê Phu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nguyễn Thuyet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hoàng Nghiêm-Minh kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. A collision led to Lang Son getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Lê Phu hit a great ball. In the 93rd minute, Lê Phu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lang Son fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Hoàng Duy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nguyễn Thuyet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 99th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sam Son b players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lang Son.
