In the 42nd minute of the match Chung Binh shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Đặng Quang Thanh showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Nhật Minh cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Đỗ Nhật Minh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
The wind increased when Võ Van Tai Em made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Nguyễn Nhật Minh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hanoi FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Nhật Minh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Đỗ Nhật Minh breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 54 played minutes leo max got a freekick which was hit by Trần Nam. Hanoi FC's Đặng Quang Thanh played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Võ Van Tai Em in the 64th minute of play. Nguyễn Nhật Minh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Đỗ Nhật Minh having to interfere. Nguyễn Huy's late challenge caught a Hanoi FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nguyễn Huy helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, Nguyễn Huy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 69th minute, Nguyễn Nhật Minh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Đỗ Nhật Minh was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nguyễn Hoa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 76 minute of play. With a little luck, leo max's Đỗ Nhật Minh got control of the ball when Nguyễn Nhật Minh tried to sneak it across the goal line. Đặng Ritchell kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Trần Nam in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Đặng Quang Thanh saved Hanoi FC from getting behind. Đặng Quang Thanh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Trần Nam in the 91st minute of the match. When the match was over Hanoi FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than leo max throughout the match.
