Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Lê Binh started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 9th match minute, Manchester United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trần Liem to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the match, Thua Thien-Hue's Lê Chi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Đinh Nguyet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Phạm Loc came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Manchester United's Nguyễn Hanh. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Hanh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 30th minute, Nguyễn Hanh got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Thua Thien-Hue's goal looked a bit too open when Lê Binh came free, but Phạm Loc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phạm Loc came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Manchester United's Nguyễn Lam. But to his dismay, Nguyễn Lam quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. With a little luck, Manchester United's Đinh Nguyet got control of the ball when Bùi Than tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Thua Thien-Hue players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Manchester United were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lê Chi made a kick off. Lê Chi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Đinh Nguyet having to interfere. When Nguyễn Hung fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thua Thien-Hue's protests and gave Nguyễn Hung a yellow card for diving instead. Nguyễn Hung kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Manchester United's Đinh Nguyet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bùi Than in the 62nd minute of play. With a little luck, Thua Thien-Hue's Phạm Loc got control of the ball when Nguyễn Hanh tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Thua Thien-Hue fans' excitement grew in the 66th match minute when Thua Thien-Hue's Bùi Than looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Thua Thien-Hue getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Phạm Khoi hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hồ Lam during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Thua Thien-Hue's Hồ Lam got a free kick in the 71st minute. Trương Duc hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the match, Thua Thien-Hue's goal looked a bit too open when Lê Binh came free, but Phạm Loc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester United's zone, Bùi Than stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Đinh Nguyet came out of the goal and Bùi Than tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Đinh Nguyet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lê Chi in the 80th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lê Binh in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Phạm Loc saved Thua Thien-Hue from getting behind. In the 83rdth minute of the game Bùi Than who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Manchester United's Đinh Nguyet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Bùi Than's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Đinh Nguyet was relentless in the 85th minute of the game. After 87 minutes of play, Thua Thien-Hue's Lê Chi made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Đinh Nguyet was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Lê Chi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
