Phan Diem blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nguyễn Thai having to make a save. In the 11th minute Lê Pham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nguyễn Thai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nguyễn Minh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Nguyet having to interfere. Nguyễn Thai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phan Diem in the 17th minute of play. In the 18thth minute of the game Trần Viet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ha Dong's Nguyễn Nguyet was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Nguyễn Minh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 35 minutes, Nguyễn Lien mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manchester Tran and the Ha Dong players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 39thth minute of the game Lê Pham who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Manchester Tran's Nguyễn Thai was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nguyễn Thai showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lê Pham in the 43rd minute of the match. Lương Tuan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Nguyễn Thai. Manchester Tran's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The wind increased when Phan Diem made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lê Pham got free with Nguyễn Thai in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Trần Viet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Nguyễn Nguyet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nguyễn Thai stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Phan Diem's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Trần Viet in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Nguyet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nguyễn Nguyet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trần Viet, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Phùng Thuy charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Phùng Thuy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Ha Dong's Phùng Thuy got a free kick in the 90th minute. Nguyễn Nguyet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trần Viet, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. In the 92nd minute, Nguyễn Dung hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 95 minutes, Nguyễn Minh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester Tran's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Minh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
