Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Lê Thuy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Tho having to interfere. Ha Giang's Nguyễn Tho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nguyễn Thi Ngoc in the 17th minute of play. Nguyễn Tu hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Trần Phuc was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 20th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 22 played minutes Da Lat got a freekick which was hit by Triệu Cuc. In the 23rd minute of the match Trần Phuc shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Huỳnh Xuan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Lê Thuy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nguyễn Tho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lê Thuy in the 27th minute. Trần Anh Hung recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Đặng Hoa put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Huỳnh Xuan. Nguyễn Tho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Thi Ngoc in the 46th minute of play. After the first half Ha Giang were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Nguyễn Thi Ngoc made the kick off in the second half. Huỳnh Pham charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Huỳnh Pham the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 54th match minute, Ha Giang was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Huỳnh Pham to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Ha Giang's zone, Nguyễn Thi Ngoc stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nguyễn Tho came out of the goal and Nguyễn Thi Ngoc tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Trần Anh Hung in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Huỳnh Xuan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nguyễn Cuc kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. 81 minutes into the match, Da Lat's goal looked a bit too open when Nguyễn Thuy came free, but Huỳnh Xuan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lê Thuy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ha Giang getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Trần Anh Hung hit a great ball. Da Lat's Huỳnh Xuan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Đặng Hoa in the 92nd minute of play. Lê Thuy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Nguyễn Tho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Ha Giang supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ha Giang would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
