Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Trần Mai started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, PleiKu's Đoàn Khoi got a free kick in the 5th minute. Nguyễn Tran kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After 17 played minutes PleiKu got a freekick which was hit by Nguyễn Thi. Nguyễn Tuan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Hoai having to interfere. Đoàn Khoi's late challenge caught a Tuyen Quang's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Đoàn Khoi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 27th match minute, PleiKu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Đoàn Khoi to maneuver through the defense. Trần Hoai made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Tuan in the 28th minute of play. If Trần Mai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. Tuyen Quang's supporters rose to their feet, but Nguyễn Tuan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trần Hoai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice moves Nguyễn Cuc could shoot a difficult shot in the 75th minute, which Trần Hoai however easily saved by the left post. PleiKu's Phạm Nghiêm-Minh got his second yellow card of the match in the 81st minute. The referee ordered Phạm Nghiêm-Minh off the ground. Nguyễn Tuan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Trịnh Binh got free with Trần Hoai in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
