Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Trần Mai made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4th minute, Triệu Diem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Trần Mai had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Trần Mai in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Trần Tran prevented the ball from getting in the gole. PleiKu were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after viet nam's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Huỳnh Quang Thanh took the corner. The corner led PleiKu's Huỳnh Quang Thanh to fire away a dangerous shot which Trần Tran despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 15 minutes, Lê Nguyet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the viet nam and the PleiKu players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of PleiKu booed when viet nam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lê Nguyet didn't get a good kick on the ball. Trần Tran made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lê Hoang in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute, Nguyễn Cadeo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 23 minutes, Nguyễn Cadeo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. viet nam's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nguyễn Cadeo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Trần Mai could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Trần Tran made a huge save. When Trần Mai came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the PleiKu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Trần Mai couldn't finish the play. When viet nam's Nguyễn Cadeo in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye PleiKu's goalie prevented a goal. Phạm Nghiêm-Minh's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Trần Tran read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Trần Tran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trần Mai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nguyễn Cadeo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nguyễn Cadeo was the one to do the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nguyễn Cadeo got free with Trần Hoai in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nguyễn Cadeo struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Trần Hoai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for viet nam. The supporters of viet nam booed when PleiKu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Phạm Nghiêm-Minh didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st match minute, PleiKu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Huỳnh Quang Thanh to maneuver through the defense. 64 minutes into the match, PleiKu's goalkeeper Trần Hoai had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nguyễn Cadeo. After a defensive mix-up in PleiKu's zone, Nguyễn Cadeo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trần Hoai came out of the goal and Nguyễn Cadeo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Trần Hoai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nguyễn Cadeo, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After a rather tough play, PleiKu's Nguyễn Dung got a free kick in the 72nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in viet nam's zone, Trần Mai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trần Tran came out of the goal and Trần Mai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nguyễn Cadeo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, PleiKu's Phạm Nghiêm-Minh got a free kick in the 85th minute. 86 minutes into the game, Nguyễn Cadeo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Trần Hoai was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lê Hoang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trần Tran having to interfere. Lê Hoang received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Trần Tran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The viet nam players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
