Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Kon Tum's Lê Nga started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Trần Nguyet notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of HaTuFC's Nguyễn Thi. Nguyễn Thi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 12th minute, Trần Thanh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 14 minutes into the match, HaTuFC's goalkeeper Nguyễn Thi had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Trịnh Hoang. The audience was convinced that Lê Nga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nguyễn Thi was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. HaTuFC's Phạm Lien got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 23 minutes into the game, Lê Hong Minh was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. HaTuFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kon Tum the free kick. In the 23rd match minute, HaTuFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lê Hong Minh to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th minute, Trần Nguyet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nguyễn Thi was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. 32 minutes into the match, Trần Nguyet notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of HaTuFC's Nguyễn Thi. Nguyễn Thi was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lê Nga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Nguyễn Thi made a huge save. Lê Nga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nguyễn Thi was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Lê Nga capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Lê Nga really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. If Phạm Lien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nguyễn Nam in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nguyễn Chi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 55th minute, Mai Minh Phượng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Trần Nguyet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Phạm Lien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Nguyễn Chi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the game, HaTuFC's Phạm Lien nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Nguyễn Chi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Võ Thai's late challenge caught a HaTuFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Võ Thai helped the player get up and apologised. After some careless play in the HaTuFC defense, Lê Nga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nguyễn Thi. The HaTuFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nguyễn Thi should have stopped the shot. Nguyễn Nam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nguyễn Chi having to interfere. Trần Nguyet took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nguyễn Thi. Nguyễn Thi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-2. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Kon Tum had played much better football throughout.
