Ha Giang's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Nguyễn Thai recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nguyễn Thai was the one to do the kick off. Lê Dung made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nguyễn Thai in the 59th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ha Giang's zone, Huỳnh Binh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lê Dung came out of the goal and Huỳnh Binh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dong Nai made a substitution. Nguyễn Dung replaced Lê Thanh. After 64 played minutes Ha Giang got a freekick which was hit by Tôn Duc. If Hoàng Viet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Lê Nam had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Phạm Cong Vinh charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Phạm Cong Vinh the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Phạm Cong Vinh kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Dong Nai's Nguyễn Phuoc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 95th minute of the match, managed to save Dong Nai from getting a goal against them. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Dong Nai had played much better football throughout.
